Bogotá Engagement Session
Yelena and Andy’s ‘Bogotá Engagement session’ story
I photographed a super fun Engagement session for the sweetest couple the other day! This was my first Latin-American Engagement session for 2016 in Bogotá. I travelled 9.325 km to join this amazing couple Yelena and Andy! Yelena is from Columbia and Andy from Texas, U.S.A.. They were the first ones to officially book me for a 2016 wedding.
I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days before the wedding day with Yelena and Andy. They were really sweet as they took me around the city to discover some old colonial parts of Bogotá.
At the same day of the Engagement session we saw some old amazing churches in various colonial streets. Afterwards they took me to a local cafe in Barrio Usaquen and we enjoyed some delicious Colombian coffee and freshly made Arepas (which is a typical Colombian dish made with Mais flower). As we strolled down the cobble streets, by coincidence I did spot some car plates of ‘Colombia’ and ‘the Lone star state of Texas’ in a souvenir shop. They were just next to each other as you see in the image below!
Since I was in Colombia and love their coffee, Andy and Yelena had a little surprise for me. They took me to one of the best degustation places in Bogotá, which was called “Cafés Catación Pública”. It was the best coffee experience I have ever had. The guy who worked in the shop showed me lots of different kinds of coffee from all over Colombia.
After this incredible day with Andy and Yelena full of great moments, we carried on to shoot their images in Usaquen, a colonial part in North Bogotá, Colombia. They were absolutely adorable together!
Here are some beautiful moments of the Bogotá Engagement session, to remember forever:
